We are thrilled to announce the next set of features coming to OneTribe during our upcoming development cycle, running from April 26th through May 17th. Our dedicated teams have been hard at work to bring you these enhancements, designed to make your experience more convenient, secure, and enjoyable. 

Working or Calendar days

Our latest product update brings an enhanced capability to manage calendar days or working days for time off, depending on the policy settings configured by managers. This new feature allows for greater flexibility and customization in tracking and managing time off requests within organizations.

With the implementation of policy settings, administrators can define whether time off should be calculated based on calendar days or working days. This means that when an employee requests time off, the system will automatically calculate the duration of the absence according to the specified policy.

When the calendar day option is selected, the system considers all days, including weekends and holidays, when calculating the duration of the time off. For example, if an employee requests three calendar days off from Monday to Wednesday, the system will count all three days.

On the other hand, when the working day option is chosen, the system takes into account only the business days, excluding weekends and holidays, to calculate the duration of the time off. For instance, if an employee requests three working days off from Monday to Wednesday, and Wednesday is a public holiday, the system will only consider Monday and Tuesday as the duration of the absence.

By offering the choice between calendar days and working days, our product provides organizations with the flexibility to align time off policies with their specific requirements and working schedules. Whether an organization operates on a standard Monday-to-Friday workweek or has alternative working arrangements, such as shift work or part-time schedules, the product can now adapt accordingly.

This feature not only streamlines the time off management process but also ensures accurate tracking of available leave balances and provides a clear overview of employees' absences. It simplifies the process for both employees and HR personnel, reducing administrative burdens and enhancing overall efficiency.

Additionally, the policy settings can be customized at various levels within the organization. Administrators can set different policies for specific departments, teams, or even individual employees, allowing for fine-grained control over time off calculations.

Maintenance Page

To ensure minimal disruption during website maintenance, a "Be Back Soon" page will be displayed to inform visitors that the site is temporarily unavailable. This feature is wonderful for the next reasons:
  • Transparent communication: Displaying a maintenance page during planned or unplanned downtime helps inform users about the current status of the website. This transparent communication reassures users that the website's unavailability is temporary and intentional, rather than an unexpected error or issue.
  • User trust and loyalty: By keeping users informed about the website's status, you demonstrate a commitment to their experience and satisfaction. This can help build trust and loyalty among users, who appreciate being kept in the loop and not left in the dark about any disruptions.
  • Reduced frustration: When users encounter a website that is not accessible, they may become frustrated or concerned. A maintenance page can help alleviate those concerns by providing clear information about the reason for the website's unavailability and an estimated time for when it will be back online.

Anniversary days

We have incorporated anniversary dates into calendars and notifications. Users will be alerted about essential anniversary dates through their calendars and receive advance notifications. This enhancement promotes improved organization and guarantees that important milestones are not neglected.
